Interviews - Part 2

Hello everyone! 
Its finally 'day 1', the day we've been anticipating!
 Since the previous interview blog post received good response,I'm back with another post,interviewing Natalie Lim and Jillian Wong today.
Today's interview theme is "Parents"



Parents, I'm sure you're reading this blog because you're concerned for your daughter and would like to be updated of our activities.Parents are the ones who lovingly nutured and raised us.You play a significant role in our lives.I know that most of the parents are reluctant to let us go and concerned for us.I'm sure we'll miss our parents dearly during the trip.Hence,I've interviewed Natalie Lim and Jillian Wong to speak on this theme of parents.




Natalie Lim
Student of class 3H

Question :Do you have anything you want to thank your parents ?
Natalie : I want to thank my parents for always being there for me even though most of the time I get them really pissed! I want to thank them for always being by my side encouraging me in whatever I'm doing!!

Question: I'm sure you'll miss your parents tremendously!How are you going to communicate with them and keep in touch ?
Natalie: It's not my first time abroad without my parents but I'll still miss them tremendously! I will either call them up using viber or communicate through whatsapp!! if there's no wifi, I might get a prepaid card so that I can communicate with them!

Question :Lastly,do you have any message you'll like to convey and tell your parents through this blog ?
Natalie : hurhur don't miss me too much and 我爱你们! <3




Jillian Wong
Student of class 3S

Question :Do you have anything you want to thank your parents ?
Jillian: I want to thank my parents for allowing me to go UK in the first place. it's so expensive but they still allowed me to go so I'm really thankful for that, secondly I wanna thank them for spending time and effort to go for the briefings and all that!

Question : I'm sure you'll miss your parents tremendously!How are you going to communicate with them and keep in touch ?
Jillian: of course I'll miss them! I have a UK number so they'll be able to contact me via whatsapp and call

Question :Lastly,do you have any message you'll like to convey and tell your parents through this blog ?
Jillian:not really, just that we'll be enjoying ourselves and we're safe and very very thankful to all parents for allowing us to go to UK!

Are you ready?


Things we need to do before flying off:


1.Have you finished packing?
  • Some of us were so excited that we finished packing since Tuesday
  • Some of us only started packing on Thursday *gasps*


2. Are you prepared to gain some weight?

  • I think we will be eating quite a lot.


3. Are you ready for change?
  • change can bring about positive/negative effect and more changes
  • change is across time
  • change is brought about by different agents
  • (serious stuff ahhhhhh)

4. Have you hugged your parents yet?
  • our parents will miss us very much so lets not forget to show our love to them before we leave
  • even a simple "i love you" will do <3
  • parents also make sure you tell your daughters all the things you want to say because i very sure that we will all definitely miss the care and love from you too ! 

Those are the most important things to take note of so make sure you are all ready and prepared for this trip! :)

Interviews

Hello everyone!!
It's finally nearing the UK ROCs trip. Are you all excited ?
Today we conducted an interview with students Denise Wee, Corrie Teo and teacher Mrs Ho.

Denise Wee

Denise is a student of class 3H.She is extremely passionate for geography and showed great enthusiasm in the trip.Since March,she has been counting down the days to UK ROCs. Its finally going to be "day 1" since she started from "day 80".

Question : What are your feelings at this moment?
Denise: I'm so excited already and this is my first time in Europe!One direction is also holding their concert at the London Wembley Stadium on the days we're in London!

Question :What do you hope to gain from this trip?
Denise: Well, I hope to have tons of fun and have many great memories with my friends!

Question :What is 1 thing you dislike about this trip?
Denise: I dislike the rooming of the Nettlecombe FSC centre.I have to room with 9 other people !




Mrs Ho

Mrs Ho is one of the 3 teachers in charge of the trip.As a dedicated geography teacher,she displays great enthusiasm for her subject and inspires us.


Question : What are your feelings at this moment?
Mrs Ho :I'm looking forward to the trip especially the tourism fieldwork in Dunster. I'm also looking forward to the new Nettlecombe FSC (Fieldwork Study Centre) which is different from the one i visited in 2012.

Question :What do you hope to gain from this trip?
Mrs Ho : I hope to know my students better and bond well with them!

Question :What is 1 thing you dislike about this trip?
Mrs Ho : I have 2 young daughters and I dislike leaving them at home and being away from them for a period of time.



Corrie Teo

Corrie is a student of class 3M and is one of the 36 students embarking on this trip to UK.She has an interest in geography and has been doing constantly well in geography tests.


Question : What are your feelings at this moment?
Corrie : I feel excited as this is my first time in Europe and I'm really anticipating for the whole trip actually.

Question :What do you hope to gain from this trip?
Corrie : I hope to gain and make new friends as well as take many pretty photos!

Question :What is 1 thing you dislike about this trip?
Corrie : I dislike the cold but yet , I like it !Also,I'm a little upset we did not get to choose our dorm mates.
